    March 10 - prep for an introduction to/differences within the New Testament – How did the New Testament get written? – Medio-Persia, Alexander the Great, and Rome - stories that influence Western Civilization through cultural allusion/rhetorical devices (alternate assignments will be available). 

    March 11 - complete Matthew ch. 1-5 (sections) look for literary repetition, motif, archetype; Beatitudes and parables; compare the literal introduction of Matthew to the metaphorical style of John ch. 1

    March 12 - lesson 11 vocab. test, grammar activities (games)

    March 3 -   if time: analysis/review of 3 types of writing - expository, argumentative, narrative (w/ examples), narration point of view mini-unit - begin with a theatrical reading of Tell Tale Heart (by Mr. Schlaich), discussion of 1st through 3rd person points of view: omniscient and limited narration - Unreliable Narrator, Naive Hero narrator

    March 4 - correct  WCAP website practice test Q's #9 - #15, Point of view with The Cask of Amontillado- anticipatory activities (discuss quotes concerning revenge)

Write at least a ¾ page response answering this question. Include quotes from the essay and the poem to support your statements.
